Hello, My name is Kristi de Vries, and I am a Registered Practical Nurse with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trent University. My academic background includes courses in Mental Health, Counselling, Addictions, and Neuropsychology. I have gained experience across a variety of nursing specialties, including Geriatrics, Mental Health, and Community-based nursing. I take great pride in empowering individuals from diverse backgrounds as they begin their journey into healthcare. In my current role with Field Trip Health, I combine my clinical expertise with my understanding of therapeutic practices. I am eager to continue advancing my career within the scope of Field Trip Health, offering an empathetic and client-centered approach to care. My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free environment where clients can pursue their individual therapeutic goals with confidence. Outside of work, I am a proud single mother to three boys, and I share my home with a lovable Pitbull/Mastiff/Portuguese Cattle Dog named Jessica Rabbit. Despite her intimidating size, she’s completely unaware of how big she is and remains a constant companion. In my personal time, I enjoy spending hours in the kitchen, creating meals from scratch while listening to audiobooks. Before transitioning into nursing, I spent nearly 20 years working in front-of-house roles in the restaurant industry. This experience instilled in me a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for connecting with people. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. Best regards, Kristi de Vries
